I and all my friends planned to give welcome party to one of our friend, as he was returning from abroad, completing the higher studies. After the discussions we all agreed, the boat as the celebration’s venue.

We shared the work and I was assigned the responsibity to look after the decorations in the boat. The deck and cabins of the boat we hired required little fine touch ups.

The most important of all was the boat carpet, it was wearing and this hindered in walking comfortably. I sought permission from the boat management to re do the carpet. Then I shopped around to find the best Boat carpet around. The material of the carpet was important, to ensure smooth and safe walking. I chose the mint colored Berger carpet. I bought carpet glue as well. The boat crew unbolted the worn out carpet and rolled down the carpet I brought. We cut the carpet as per the requirement and stick the carpet with the glue. I chose the carpet with long durability, because we can well use the Berber Boat carpet next time as well.

Thus the carpeting was done, I and two of friends then started to decorate the boat. We hung colorful balloons; and wrote a welcome message on the sheet with sparkle gel, we also put our childhood photos on the walls. We took our friend in to the boat he was very surprised on seeing all this. All of us enjoyed the get together moments. Even after so long we still recollect that wonderful time.
